Education department free of cost to students of standard 3 to 12 Will provide online education: Education Minister
The Department of Education has taken an important decision to provide free online education to the students of Std. 3 to 12 studying in private i.e. self-reliant schools of the state. Today, Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama made it clear that the Department of Education cannot be a silent spectator under any circumstances as it has decided that self-reliant schools will not teach online education to children. When the self-reliant school administrators have taken such a decision, the state government will provide free Gujarati or English medium education to the students studying in the above standard.
The Department of Education has taken an important decision to provide free online education to the students of Std. 3 to 12 studying in private i.e. self-reliant schools of the state. Today, Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama made it clear that the Department of Education cannot be a silent spectator under any circumstances as it has decided that self-reliant schools will not teach online education to children. When the self-reliant school administrators have taken such a decision, the state government will provide free Gujarati or English medium education to the students studying in the above standard.
Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama today instructed the GCERT and Gujarat State Board of Higher Secondary Education officials to start preparations in this regard as soon as possible.
The Education Minister said that since the lockdown started, the work of imparting education to the students of Std. 9th to 12th through Gujarati medium has been successfully carried out through Vande Gujarat channel, DD Girnar and YouTube and through Std. 3rd to 12th standard. Now using the same medium, the state government will not allow the educational interest of millions of students in the state to be jeopardized in terms of the decision of self-reliant schools by imparting free education to these students.
