Government Launches 5-star Scheme For Villages,

 The Post Office has launched a scheme for villages called Five Star Village, Under Which the post office services will be marketed and disseminated to the villages. The branch office will act as a one stop shop to cater to the every need of the villagers.

• Grameen Yojana will be launched in India
• The name of the scheme is Fivestar Village Scheme
• The Scheme will first start in Maharashtra

Inaugurating the scheme, Union Minister Sanjay Ghotre said the scheme would be launched in Maharashtra On an initial basis. Based on the experience here, the scheme will be rolled out in other states as well.

This will prove to be a good plan for those who take advantage of the vast network of post offices. Let us know how this scheme will work, and how many people will benefit from this scheme.

• Saving Account, Recurrig Deposit Account, KVP or NSC Certificate
• Sukanya Samrudhi or PPF Account
• Financing Post Office Saving Account
• Postal Life Insurance Policy or Rural Insurance Policy
• Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Vima Yojana Or Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti vima yojna

Five Star Village Plan Implementation Force

The scheme will be implemented by a team of five village post offices, in which people will be assigned one village for marketing of savings and insurance schemes. This team will be led by the concerned branch office or branch post master.

Five Star Village Plan Campaign

A team of Rural Post Servants will run a door-to-door  awareness campaign on the scheme covering the villagers. Extensive publicity will be given by displaying the notice on the notice board of the branch office.
