The Gujarat government had decided not to open schools till Diwali. Corona's condition will be reviewed after Diwali and then the government will take a decision. There is good news for teachers in the state now. Teachers of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will get 21 days Diwali vacation.
The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education prepares a school activity calendar every year. In which the dates fixed are applicable in Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools. However due to Corona the academic work in the schools has not been completed this year and the school activity could not become a calendar.

- The decision will be taken later regarding the semester examination to be taken in the school
The government has decided to give Diwali vacation to teachers in the state from October 29 to November 18. When the final examination will be decided later. Importantly, schools in the state have been closed since March 16 due to Corona.

It may be mentioned that after the new guideline of Unlock-6, the government will take a decision to open schools in Gujarat. A few days ago, a meeting was held between the education and health departments in this regard. The opinion of the health department was taken regarding the opening of schools. In which the board of directors showed readiness to open the school after Diwali.
